three-year-old, we are here to help you.
Your Child’s Dentist with Care
You probably spent a great deal of time choosing your child’s
pediatrician. Who you choose to care for their oral health is just
as important. A good dentist for children knows how important it is
to instill good habits early, in an environment that’s comfortable
and fun, to set up a lifetime of good oral health.
There are many reasons that children’s teeth can be prone to
cavities, even at a very young age. Kids can’t brush well on their
own, so parents must be involved in their child’s daily dental care.
This ensures both thorough cleaning and the development of proper
dental habits. Little kids also tend to graze, or eat more often
during the day. Every time you eat you make acid, so children’s
teeth have more exposure to that acid, which may cause more
The good news is that identifying poor dietary and hygiene habits,
along with applying a fluoride varnish to the mineralizing teeth,
can significantly reduce the risk of cavities.
Won’t Believe How Easy it Can Be to Prevent Tooth Decay
Most children (and even many adults!) can have difficulty doing a
good job of brushing their teeth. Even diligent brushing may not
reach the deep grooves in the back teeth. Our solution? We offer
dental sealants for children as a barrier against tooth decay.
How do dental sealants work?
• First we clean and sterilize the tooth or teeth (usually a
set of molars is
at the same time).
• Then we apply a thin plastic coating that is white or clear,
• With the application of a curing light, the sealant is
bonded into place.
• From beginning to end, the procedure takes just a few minutes.
• With no shots, drills, or changes to the structure of the tooth,
it’s totally painless!
Applying dental sealants is one of the best preventive things both
children and adolescents can do to preserve their natural teeth!
Healthy smiles for your entire family!
